Up and Over

Every so often, I sneak out early on a Saturday morning to go for a bike ride with friends. This morning was one of those mornings. I met up with Mr. Munson at Crane Coffee just off the Keystone trail on Cass street.

The plan was to ride downtown to ride over the Bob Kerry Pedestrian bridge.

After crossing the bridge we rode the trail system in Council Bluffs out to the Wabash trace trail head. We turned at that point and headed back. I talked Munson into stopping for lunch at the Riverside Grille on the way back. I went with the club sandwich and a salad.

Right at the end of the ride we spotted this. I barely had time to snap a picture before it flew out of sight.

Here is the video I shot as we crossed over the bridge.

Awesome picture of the stealth plane, especially considering you weren't planning to catch it.

Roxanne and I crossed the bridge Saturday morning too and rode to the Wabash Trace. I looked for us in the video but didn't see us. Looks like you were there earlier than we were.

Good luck with all of the new goals.

Regards,

Scott

Hey Scott, we Rode by Roxanne on our way just before we got to NP Dodge park. I'm guessing she was on her way to the bridge.

I've already goofed up a few of those goals, but I'll just restart them until I get it right. I had been eating candy corn at home the last couple days without even thinking about the "no candy" goal. Hacked me off that I failed that goal without even realizing it. Oops! I'll just start it over, but now I have to make it through Halloween without eating candy :-(

That probably wasn't my wife, Roxanne. It must be another Roxanne.

A few jelly-bean sized objects don't count, so no worries.

Ah... I was think of Roxzanne. The female MTB fenom here in omaha. We spotted her heading in that direction near the end of our ride.

Pretty Cool. Watching your video may be the only chance I will get to what it is like to cross over the bridge. Doubt if I can get Dad to make the hike. Mom
