Crank & Camp (Your invited)

Some of you have seen the Crank & Camp post over at Bike Omaha. If you haven't then check it out. I'll be making reservations for the camp ground and shelter use in Coin, Iowa in the next few weeks. I'll post another article at Bike Omaha when I have more details.

However, if you are available on Saturday, April 18th and Sunday, April 19th then you are invited. The trip from Council Bluffs to Coin, Iowa (on the Wabash Trace) is about 56.9 miles on crushed limestone with only gradual hills (long but not steep). So if you can ride 56.9 miles in under 12 hours, your set.

Keli will be transporting the tents, sleeping gear, clothes, and overnight food stuff so that nobody has to carry that on their bikes. Family members are also welcome to follow Keli out to coin to join you at the camp site.

This is not a sponsored or supported ride. It's just a fun event for people that want to get out and spend a weekend riding bikes and hanging out with friends. All rider should probably carry cell phones and basic patch/repair tools just in case. Drop me an email at underdahill(at)gmail(dot)com if your interested in joining us.

Oh... and we did this last fall too when it was way too cold to be camping. But we still had a great time.

Cool beans. I'll try to post here when I have more details, but I'll post on bikeomaha.blogspot.com for sure as I get all the details sorted.
