Nice try

I decide to put the bike frame (mentioned a few posts below) on Craigslist last night. It appears that I already have an interested buyer. Or do I?

Hello,
I would love to buy your 1982 Colnago Super Frame/Fork - $300 which you have for sale,i was actually looking for some stuffs for my younger ones and i came across your ad for my first time using craig's list(I guess i was fortunate LOL!).

I wish i could come down to you to look at it but unfortunately i am currently in Vienna VA but i can do the whole transaction from here with ease. Please advice if the item is still in good conditions and if you can accept a Cashier's check for payment.

The price of the item is fair to me and i wouldn't want to loose it because this is a surprise package for my cousins so it would be my pleasure to add another $50 to the asking price so you can sell the item for me and also tell other interested parties that it has been sold to avoid competitions(LOL).

I have read the craig's list warning and i understand they warn about cashier's check and money order, but i want you to know that i am a good Christian and would never do anything to harm anyone. So if you are okay with my offer, kindly get back with the information below so i will use it to make payment to you immediately,
1)Full Name
2)Full Address(City,State and zip code)
3)Phone Number(Best time you can be reached on Phone)

Please don't bother yourself about the pick up,the pick up will be handled by me and it would be after you have confirmed to me that you've got your payment.I will have my forwarding courier to proceed with the pick up once you notify me that you've got your payment and cash in hand.

I will be waiting to read a reply from you soonest.
Stay Blessed and Best Regards.

For those of you that are not familiar with Craigslist, it is an online “For Sale” type service. It’s free and quite useful for selling things. It’s also very large and popular, with Craigslist sites for just about every major US city. With it’s popularity, comes the scam artists and spammers. The email above is a great example of a scam attempt.

Can anyone spot all the things about that email that give it away as a scam?

Now excuse me while I try to stop laughing.

Sorry this is off topic (nice Colnago by the way) but I was wondering what Canon model your digital camera was. If you recall from Saturday's ride I was asking you about it, and of course I forgot what model it was.
Nice meeting you and getting in some good saddle time.

No worries.

My camera is a "Canon SD870 IS". I think there is a newer version of it.

I'll put up some pictures from the Saturday ride in the very near future.
