The event starts at the Wabash Trace trailhead in Council Bluffs at 10:00am on Saturday, November 8th. From there we will bike 63 miles on the Wabash Trace to Blanchard, IA then back track 5 miles to Coin, IA. Once in Coin, you can set up camp in the campground adjacent to the trail and have dinner at the Gold Coin Restaurant (I was told they stay open till 2:00am, but I'm not sure if the kitchen is open that late). The following day, participants will ride 58 miles from Coin back to the Trailhead.
This is a self supported ride, so you will have to bring what you need along with you (food, water, spare tubes, a cell phone to call for help, etc). Several of the towns along the Wabash have small restaurants where you can stop and eat whenever you want. Bring cash, as some stores/restaurants may not accept credit and/or checks. There is no set schedule and you can ride as fast or as slow as you desire. Starting at 10:00 you will have approximately 7 hours of daylight to finish 63 miles. If you bring a bike light, you can ride even slower and finish after dark. You can also start prior to 10:00am if you want to get a head start.
Camping cost is $7 per tent and $2 per person (that's $9 if you camp solo). Camping fees can be placed in the lock box on the intersection of Main St and 1st in Coin. The camping facilities also have a bathroom and some electrical outlets. If you need additional information about Camping in Coin, IA you can contact Kathy, the City Clerk, at (712) 583-3523 between 9:00am and noon on week days.
No RSVP is required, but if you want us to look for you, or have additional questions, just drop me an email at underdahill at gmail dot com.

If you plan to join us, you will need to find a way to bring a tent, warm sleeping bag, munchies, and any additional clothes you may need.
I have a basic blackburn rear rack that somebody can have if they need one. It doesn't fit bikes with cantaliever brakes because it attaches via one bolt at the center of the rear brake bridge.
