I took the long way home on Friday so I could bike a bit more. The weather was great and I knew I wouldn't get a chance to do any riding the rest of the weekend. I was rewarded with a nice muddy stripe up my back from riding a bike with no fenders on a day when every dirty snow pile in sight was quickly melting. Keli took the boys to the ZOO in the afternoon and they had a great time. Friday night was relaxed and after the boys went to bed, Keli and I finished watching season 2 of Heroes.
Saturday morning Brandon and I got up at 6:00am to head to church to cook pancakes at the monthly Iron Sharpeners Breakfast. After getting home, I napped a bit while Keli watched the boys. Keli also got a quick run in (outside for a change). We then dropped the boys off with my sister and Keli and I had a "Date Night". It had been MANY months since the last one. The first stop was the Oakview mall to have me fitted for glasses (I know... I'm getting old). That was followed by dinner at Fudruckers (the 1 hour waiting list at the Olive Garden is to blame for that dinning choice). Then back to the Oakview mall to get my glasses and then over to the AMC 24 for a movie. We watched "Slum Dog Millionaire" and it was a great movie. After the movie we picked up the kids, hurried them to bed, and watched the start of season 3 of Heroes. Keli and I agreed that the third season of Heroes left a lot to be desired.
Sunday consisted of Church, lunch at Arby's, a short nap for me, bike washing (my hands are still cold), dinner, baths for the boys, lesson planning for Keli, reading to B&B, putting B&B to bed, then an hour of reading with Keli before going to sleep.
I know, I lead such an exciting life. I also like my naps.
