I got a chance to go MTB riding last night after work. We started at 5:30 and finished up around 8:00. Obviously, it was very dark by 8:00. We all ride with bike lights, so we can actually see the trail pretty well in the dark. I'm not talking wimpy keychain quality lights, these lights are so bright that I think I got a sunburn from the person that was riding behinde me. You know who you are Aaron and Tim.
Last night was just a blast. I probably saw a half dozen dears, a raccoon, several bunnies, and a massive owel. I even got a chance to change a flat tire in the dark. How fun.
It's been almost 10 months since I did any after dark MTB riding. I really missed it. It is a totally different experience.
