This weekend I'll be heading up to Norfolk with some friends to pre-ride the course that we will be racing on in August. Should be a fun MTB adventure. Thanks mom for watching the kids while I'm gone.
A week from today our family is heading to Estes Park for vacation. I'll be doing some rides in the early morning while I'm out there. My "PLAN" is to do at least one epic ride while I'm out there. The ride I'm going to attempt, goes from Estes (Man... I keep typing Estest) Park, up over Trail Ridge Road, then down to Grand Lake. Then I have to make the return trip the same day. Both legs of the trip will be 52 miles each and contain over 1 MILE of altitude gain for a total of 104 miles and over 2 miles of climbing. If it works out, my family will be in Grand Lake that day and I'll be able to bail out in Grand Lake if I can't make the return trip (better safe than sorry).
I'll try to post a few picture of tomorrows ride next week. Then I'll have several post vacation blog entries a few weeks later... assuming I'm still alive.
