POST BRAN: Day 2, Part 1

Day 2 was a 70+ mile ride from Hyannis to Tryon.

Wind and hills were the main attraction again on Monday. I rode with Tom from the Bike Masters team for part of the day. We stopped in Arthor for good HEAVY meal. The rest of the Bike Masters group caught up to us as we were rolling into Arthor. After lunch/breakfast Tom and I continued on with the Bike Masters team.

I had started the day riding with Phil, but I didn't look back often enough and didn't notice him drop off when he bent his rear derailleur (Sorry Phil). He got it fixed when one of the roving bike shop SAGs stopped to help him.

I rode with a guy by the name of Marty for the last 25 miles or so. He is a strong rider and I had to work pretty hard to keep up and take my turn at pulling into the wind. Pulling is when you take the lead. It's a reference to the affect you have of pulling the riders behind you but could be more accurately described as PUSHING the wind out of the way for the riders behind you.

What I woke up to
You don't see that every day
