[A new day has dawned and the morning ride is complete. It appears that Bob got cell phone reception when they stopped for lunch in the city of Arthur. You can read about Arthur here and here. Today's journey will take them over 71 mile of Nebraska land from Hyannis to Tryon.]
BRAN's website quote: "Only one town along the way: Arthur, voted Best Host Community of 2005. You will appreciate their hospitality. BRAN will outnumber the total population of Arthur and McPherson counties. This day will take you back 150 years and make you feel like the pioneers of that era -- lonely! Relish the feeling . . . soak in the serenity."

They didn't lie when they said "Lonely". Other than my fellow riders, the only company we had was dead turtles.
Were they dead because people ran over them with their bikes? Wouldn't that knock you off your bike?
I'm reading every post...it all sounds wonderful and horrible at the same time. Keep on keeping on.
