BRAN: Day 1, Round 1

[It appears that they survived their evening in Gordon, NE and the grueling first day has arrived. The first 81 miles of their trip from Gordon, NE to Hyannis, NE has begun. What do they have waiting for them in Hyannis, NE ... a whole lot of quiet! May they use that quietness to see into their hearts and find peace, while being away from the big, super fast, complex society.]

The men and the bikes they will
become extremely intimate with over
the next 5 days and 449 miles.

BRAN's website quote: "Our adventure starts in Gordon - Mari Sandoz country. In town, check out memorabilia and manuscripts of the writings that captured the spirit of both Indians and early settlers. You might as well turn off your cellphone, you won't find a signal. There is no century this year, but today might feel like one if you haven't practiced on hills. The rewards are worth it as lakes and wetlands erupt with noisy pelicans and herons while deer and antelope roam the grasslands with the cattle."

[So, with that warning, may you all be patient as it might be the following day before we get any new pictures of their misadventure. Another quote "This year we head to the Hills!" That simply means that the 81 miles that they are doing today, will feel like 100+ miles in the evening. Let's see what Bob has to say about that!]
